Kelly and Mike started out as co-workers and “just friends”. After a while of being at the same company, but living in different states they started talking on a deeper level. Before they knew it, Mike was on a plane to New York to take Kelly on a date and the rest is history.
Kelly and Mike’s original plan was to get married in the spring of 2020 but like so many other covid couples had to change their plans due to the pandemic. They ultimately settled on the option to have a micro wedding in the fall and then plan for a big celebration with all of their family and friends on their first anniversary. The day of their micro wedding at The Historic Walton house was absolutely perfect. Kelly and Mike got ready separately, and then met together beneath the trees for a sweet and simple ceremony. The small guest count included their parents. siblings, and two of their closest friends. After the ceremony they, strolled the lush grounds of The Walton House, admiring the animals and greenery. The night ended with an intimate family-style dinner in the barn with great food and drinks and fun conversation.
