We didn’t have much time to plan a wedding (only 5 months from the engagement!) but we always knew we wanted a very sophisticated, stylish and fun wedding! With the help of every single family member, we pulled it off! We knew that we wanted to use neutrals, white and light blush colors. We were looking for a romantic intimate feel, we wanted people remembering our wedding because it was beautiful and unique! We chose our venue the minute we stepped foot into The Brazilian Hotel, the feeling of the courtyard where we said our “I do’s” was so intimate and romantic, unlike any other venue we saw. It encompassed our love for the outdoors but our sophisticated style. Their catering coordinator Theresa was AMAZING!

I think the most unique thing about our ceremony is that we chose to walk down the aisle together! We believed we were making that commitment together and wanted to do something that would make a significant display of that. By far my favorite moment of our wedding day was walking down the aisle together knowing we were about to become husband and wife!

Since we had so many things we wanted to do ourselves for the reception it worked out to be best to do it in Kevin’s parents backyard! We had full range to do whatever we wanted! We did everything ourselves and it’s so much fun looking back at pictures and knowing we did that! We had a company come and make paella for our guests, which all of our guests loved and was something totally different and unique than your standard “wedding dinner.” Kevin’s aunt was also able to make our wedding cake, mini wedding cakes and desserts all by herself! At any other reception venues we didn’t have the freedom of creating our dream! – Erin
