I always encourage couples to pick a location for their engagement photos that reflects them as a couple. So when Madison told me that she and Josh like to take their boat out to the Alligator Reef Lighthouse in the Florida Keys, I was completely on board for doing just that for their engagement photos.
We started out the session on a small beach near their home in Islamorada. They brought their cute puppies along for some photos and they had the best time playing in the water! From there we hopped on Josh’s boat to head out to the lighthouse. As soon as Josh got on his boat you could tell he felt completely at home and at peace. We cruised out to the part of the ocean where the Gulf meets the Atlantic and the water was some of the prettiest clear blues I’ve ever seen…even for a cloudy day! What was an overcast turned into a gorgeous sunset filled with hues of pinks and purples as we finished up our session out on the water.
Madison and Josh: thank you for giving me a glimpse into your life on the water. I love how easygoing you two are and how you love spending time with each other. Madison, I know you’re going to make one stunner of a bride and I can’t wait for your Islamorada wedding so soon!
